VEB has launched a new podcast series focusing on the energy transition within the public sector. Titled 'De Energietransitie', the series will feature in-depth discussions over five episodes with experts, representatives from local authorities, architects, and various public sector organizations. The focus will be on the challenges and opportunities associated with sustainable construction, energy-efficient renovation, and the implementation of green real estate strategies.
Starting October 1, 2026, all episodes will be available on Spotify. The podcast aims to share practical experiences and valuable insights from organizations actively engaged in the energy transition. The discussions will cover diverse themes, including the sustainability of public buildings, the strategic role of real estate management, financial and societal considerations in renovation projects, and collaboration between local governments and architectural firms.
The series brings together a wide range of voices from the field. Participants will include representatives from Stad Mechelen, Gemeente Pelt, KU Leuven, ILVO, and Team Vlaams Bouwmeester. They will share their expertise, the challenges they face, and potential solutions for making public heritage more sustainable.
