During the festive gala evening, the winners were announced. This year, eight entrepreneurs were celebrated. The evening commenced with a reception, followed by the award ceremony, dinner, and an evening party with a performance.
The winners of the Theo’s 2026 are: LVS Technics (Entrepreneur of the Year), Giantstore Louis Clincke (Best Starter), Let’s Save Food (Greatest Effort in Sustainability), Albertha (Shop/Best Display or Market Vendor), Koen Dewulf (cabaret artist, for putting Eeklo on the map beyond city limits), Optiek Sierens (Press Award Theo-Flitser), and Hubo Eeklo with Hendrik Minnebo and Frankie Caneele (Lifetime Achievement Award Theofiel).
This year marked the debut of the Expo-Theo award, a new category recognizing an entrepreneur who promotes Eeklo beyond the city's borders. For this edition, nominees in each category could be put forward by the public. An independent jury evaluated candidates based on clear and objective criteria. The press selected the winner of the Theo-Flitser, while the jury chose two laureates for the Theofiel.
The presentation of the Theo Awards serves as a festive occasion to highlight entrepreneurship within Eeklo.
