The East-Limburg Hospital (ZOL) is evaluating the effectiveness of the Beweegsaam app, a digital program designed to support breast cancer patients in increasing their physical activity after diagnosis.

Increased physical activity following a cancer diagnosis contributes to improved well-being, reduced fatigue, and a higher chance of full recovery. Within ZOL, with support from the Foundation Against Cancer, a digital program has been developed. Breast cancer patients receive a personalized exercise offering through this initiative.
Information regarding the patient's physical activity is recorded in the electronic patient file and incorporated into their personal care trajectory via the Mijnzol patient portal. Following the design and setup of this program, its effectiveness will be evaluated using a single-case experimental design.
The study, which commenced in 2021, is being conducted by the ZOL Rehabilitation Department and Future Health ZOL.
