For several years, ZOL has been using the CAMCOG as a screening and follow-up instrument for individuals suspected of having a neurodegenerative disorder, such as dementia. The CAMCOG assesses the cognition of older adults, including orientation, language, memory, and attention.
While the psychometric qualities of the instrument have been demonstrated, previous studies are outdated or took place outside Flanders. This study project utilizes clinically collected data to perform new psychometric research.
The research, running from 2021 to 2025, includes various outcomes such as a manuscript by L. Snoeks (2023) and presentations at inspiration days and conferences in 2022 and 2023.
Partners in this project include Mr. Ludwig Snoeks (neuropsychologist at ZOL), Prof. dr. Céline Gillebert, and dr. Hanne Huygelier (both from Brain & Cognition, KU Leuven).
