The Citizen Energy Advisory Hub is launching a call for technical support for citizen energy projects across the European Union. Groups of citizens, SMEs, and local authorities can submit applications until October 2, 2026.

Are you a group of citizens, an SME, or a local authority with plans for projects such as energy sharing within a building or community, advice on reducing consumption costs, or organizing group purchases of solar panels? You may be eligible for the technical support program of the Citizen Energy Advisory Hub (CEAH).
Examples of supported projects include the collective installation of solar panels, energy sharing, energy storage, electric mobility (such as electric carpooling via a cooperative and charging infrastructure), and energy efficiency services for households facing energy poverty.
The CEAH technical support program offers practical expertise and guidance, regardless of your initiative's development stage. Selected organizations will receive specialized support in five categories: financial advice, technical support (feasibility studies, technical design), legal assistance, stakeholder engagement support, and capacity building support.
The application round is specifically aimed at energy communities, citizen groups, small businesses, small non-governmental or non-profit organizations, and local authorities. The support includes up to 40 days of expert guidance.
The application period runs from September 1, 2026, to October 2, 2026. More information and registration options can be found on the European Commission website.
